Prices and booking (7)
How much does furniture assembly cost?
We work with fixed prices agreed before the booking. The price depends on the items, their size and complexity, and any wall fixing. Send us product links or photos and we will give you a fixed price.
How much does IKEA PAX wardrobe assembly cost?
It depends on the number and size of frames, the door type (hinged or sliding), the interior fittings, lighting and wall fixing. The quickest way to get an exact fixed price is to send us your IKEA PAX design code or your IKEA order list.
Do you charge extra for locations further away?
The price depends on the location. We always confirm the full price before you book.
What do you need to give me a price?
Your postcode, product links or photos, a short description of the job, your IKEA PAX design code if you have one, and your preferred date. To confirm the booking we also need the full address.
How do I pay?
For jobs booked directly with us, payment is by bank transfer as agreed, and we send an invoice when the job is complete. For jobs booked through TaskRabbit, payment follows the platform's process.
Can I add more items on the day?
Not always. Extra items need to be priced and timed, and we often have another appointment afterwards. Tell us everything in advance so we can plan the time properly.
Do you work at weekends?
Yes. Monday to Friday 8am–5pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am–4pm.
On the day (7)
What time will you arrive?
We give a two-hour arrival window rather than an exact time. For some bookings the window is confirmed the day before. We message you about 30–45 minutes before we arrive.
How should I prepare the room?
Clear enough space to work, make sure every box has been delivered, and have the boxes inside the room where the furniture will be assembled. Sliding-door wardrobes need extra free space in front to fit the doors.
Do you carry boxes upstairs?
Moving boxes to other floors is not automatically included in the assembly price. If you need it, tell us in advance so we can include it.
Do you take the boxes and packaging away?
No. We flatten and stack the packaging neatly before we leave, but disposal is not included.
Do you bring tools and wall fixings?
Yes. We bring our own tools, and we supply screws and wall plugs for the wall fixing agreed in the booking, including Fischer DuoPower plugs.
How long does the assembly take?
It depends on the items. When you send product links or your PAX design, we confirm both the fixed price and the expected duration.
What happens if a part is missing or damaged?
We tell you straight away and take photos when needed. You contact the shop or manufacturer for the replacement part. A return visit depends on when the parts arrive, our availability and the booking conditions.
IKEA PAX wardrobes (6)
Do you assemble IKEA PAX wardrobes with sliding doors?
Yes, including PAX sliding-door systems. The room needs enough free space for assembling the frames and fitting the doors.
Can you join a new PAX wardrobe to an existing one?
Usually yes. We check the heights, the legs and the alignment of the existing wardrobe. Sometimes it has to be partly taken apart or adjusted, which is assessed and priced separately.
Can drawers or interior fittings clash with the PAX door hinges?
Yes, some drawer and fitting positions interfere with the hinges. We check the design for these conflicts and tell you before or during the job.
Do you secure PAX wardrobes to the wall?
Yes. IKEA wardrobes must be secured to the wall. Where there is a large gap or recess behind the wardrobe, extra timber support may be needed. Send photos and measurements in advance.
Do you install PAX wardrobe lighting?
Yes, IKEA wardrobe lighting where it is suitable. We do not carry out electrical work or install new sockets.
Do you assemble IKEA BESTÅ and other modular systems?
Yes, including IKEA BESTÅ TV and storage units and other modular furniture. Wall-mounted BESTÅ units are fitted by Michel.
